About the Artist -

My name is Seleena. I create under the name Seldom, an artist inspired and from Tucson, Arizona. My Tata was an artist, and ever since I was little, I always said I wanted to be an artist like him.

For me, creation is magic. It’s bringing something into existence that didn’t exist before — new worlds, stories, and thoughts.
I want my work to spark curiosity, to intrigue and invite people in. Not just to be looked at, but to be used, interacted with, and lived with.

My goal is to create functional art — work that’s meant to be used, not just displayed. This can take the form of objects you can open, read, wear, or interact with.

I want my work to live with people in everyday ways — as tools, keepsakes, or invitations — while still carrying symbolic depth. Each piece is designed with discovery in mind, so engaging with it feels like uncovering a small story.

Much of my work is shaped by folklore, symbolism, and the Sonoran desert. It’s an aesthetic I call Sonoralore — sometimes a literal imagined world, sometimes simply the language that defines my style.

The heart of this work is in motifs, feelings, and inspiration. Some collections lean deeply into Sonoralore, others stand apart — but all share the same symbolic, story-driven approach.

Think of Sonoralore as a way to explore memory, myth, and design — an influence that ties my drops and creations together, even when each stands on its own.
